Charlene Edman Abele has painted all her life, seeking to capture on canvas the same sense of wonder in the beauty of her surroundings that she feels as she paints. Her style is decidedly unique, a mix of impressionism blended with an abstract expression formed through her exclusive use of palette knives or brush to sculpt the oils or acrylics that make up her canvases. Working with the vibrant colors that give her work a true sense of place in her home in the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Abele depicts the beauty of surroundings, from the simple quiet of the salt marsh, to the rolling hills and scenes of Southeastern Pennsylvania countryside and to the beautiful upper Delaware. "A Walk Into Abstracts", is a teaching DVD & E-book. I was selected to participate with many other abstract painters. Published August 2010, and soon to be in hardback, coming April 2012.
